# Setting Up Email Forwarders

Email forwarders automatically redirect incoming mail from one address to another — either within your domain or to an external address.

## Creating a Forwarder

**1. Go to Mail**

Log in to Plesk and click **Mail** in the left sidebar.

**2. Open the Mailbox**

Click on the email address you want to forward from.

**3. Go to Forwarding**

Click the **Forwarding** tab.

**4. Enable Forwarding**

Check **Switch on mail forwarding** and enter the destination address to forward mail to.

**5. Save**

Click **OK** to apply.

> [!NOTE]
>
> You can forward to multiple addresses by entering each one on a separate line.

## Forwarding Without Keeping a Copy

By default, Plesk can store a copy in the local mailbox while also forwarding. If you do not want to retain a local copy, disable the mailbox storage option on the same settings page.

## Forwarder-Only Address (No Mailbox)

If you want a forwarding address that does not have a mailbox at all (e.g. `contact@example.com` forwards to your personal Gmail), create the email address in Plesk, then disable the mailbox and enable forwarding as described above.
