# Restoring Files from a Backup

JetBackup lets you restore individual files or your entire file system from any backup taken within the last 30 days.

## Restoring Files

**1. Go to Backups**

Log in to Plesk and click **Backups** in the left sidebar to open JetBackup.

**2. Select File Backups**

Click **File Backups** from the JetBackup dashboard.

**3. Choose a Backup Date**

Select the backup date you want to restore from.

**4. Browse and Select Files**

Browse the file tree and check the files or folders you want to restore. You can restore a single file, a folder, or your entire `httpdocs/` directory.

**5. Restore**

Click **Restore Selected**. JetBackup will restore the files to their original location, overwriting the current versions.

> [!WARNING]
>
> Restoring files overwrites the current versions. If you are unsure, use the **Download** option first to retrieve a copy without overwriting anything.
